Human Resources would like to thank everyone who requested reminder postcards to distribute; the demand was so great that all the postcards have been distributed. The HR Process Center has received several calls regarding an inability to print PAFs because employees who were terminated in 2005 or earlier are not showing up on the DA Employee List in MSS. We wanted to let you know that this is a display issue and we are working to get this resolved as quickly as possible. Also, we wanted to confirm that the data is still in the system and can be retrieved. For instructions on how to print these past PAFs, click here.

New Employee Orientation: Human Resources is pleased to announce that, starting after Labor Day, New Employee Orientation will be held in a much larger space to accommodate the ever-increasing number of attendees. The new space is Rooms C & D on the Lobby level of the Interchurch Center. This will also allow us to divide the participants into two groups for the second half of Orientation, the “Benefits” session. To allow scheduling the additional space, New Employee Orientation will be held every other Monday morning, and the last Tuesday afternoon of the month starting September 18, 2006. Upcoming/Past Appointment End Date Report: In response to your requests, an “Upcoming/Past Appointment End Date Report” has been created and is now available in the Data Warehouse-HR Reports section. This report will list all employees whose appointment end date occurs within three months from the date of the extract's run. Click here for details.

2005 PAYROLL TAX INFORMATION: W-2 and 1099R (retiree) forms will be mailed to faculty and staff by this Wednesday, January 26th. This is in advance of the January 31st postmarking deadline. Most forms should be received by next Tuesday, January 31st. Any address changes made after January 19, 2006 are NOT included in this mailing. Action/Reason Code TER/HOT No Longer In Use.
Effective Tuesday, July 19, 2004, the Action/Reason code TER/HOT will no longer be used to note terminations via the hotline. We are now using SUS/HOT for terminations that come in via the hotline. Please note: You will only see this code on your Manager Self Service Personnel Action Report.

Salary Accounting Form (SAF) Policy Change for New Hires.
When hiring a new employee, you should no longer submit a paper SAF for accounting purposes. Submit the new hire paperwork by the Mail Closing Date (noting in the comments box "SAF Pending"), then five days after the Mail Closing Date to go into WebSAF and process the SAF online.
