Self-Awareness for Working in a Multicultural World: An Introduction

    Course Description

This one-hour session serves as an introduction to the all-day workshop, "Self-Awareness for Working in a Multi-Cultural World." Participants may include those attending on November 9th as well as those interested in an introduction to the concepts that drive the training.

The session will cover the rationale for focusing on cultural self-awareness as a way to increase effectiveness in today's workplace. During the session participants will be introduced to the training curriculum through both didactic and experiential methods. They will leave with an understanding of ways to customize it for their own departments. The workshop serves to increase one's capacity to lead more effective work teams, and to more productively manage organizational conflict and change.
