About this Section
At Columbia University, the safety and well-being of our students, faculty, and staff is our top priority. Columbia’s campus and its environs are safe and have a relatively low crime rate for an urban university. The University helps to keep the campus safe and secure, but a truly safe campus can be achieved only through the cooperation of all students, faculty, and staff. This section of Working at Columbia is a part of the University’s effort to ensure that this cooperative effort is effective. We hope that you will read it carefully and use the information to help make your Columbia experience a safe one for yourself and others on the University campus.
